Former Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo has posted an adorable throwback video of himself inside an exotic private plane with the Nigerian star expressing happiness for the good memories.

Ighalo is one of the biggest African players considering his wealth, and he remains the only Nigerian footballer to have played for Manchester United in the Premier League.

Years back on the streets of Lagos, Ighalo used to wear the jersey of the Premier League team with the dream for him to play for the Old Trafford side.

The dream came true in 2020 when Man United signed the Nigerian on loan and he spent a year at the club.

According to the video Ighalo shared on his Instagram page, the Nigerian can be seen chilling around the private plane in a joyous mood.

What next for Ighalo?

Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal recently announced the exit of Ighalo after netting 19 goals in 27 games for them last season.

The former Super Eagles striker also made the Saudi Pro League team of the season ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo according to the report on Punch.

Meanwhile, there are suggestions among Nigerian sports reporters that Ighalo should return to the Nigerian League for the coming season.

Ighalo named in team of the season

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Odion Ighalo was named in the Saudi Pro League team of the season following his superb performances, while Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo has been snubbed.

Despite scoring 14 goals in 16 games for Al-Nassr, the former Manchester United superstar was not considered among the best eleven.

After his explosive interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo's contract at Manchester United was terminated by the club's chiefs and he moved to Saudi club Al-Nassr.

The move was one of the biggest in the transfer football market as the five-time Ballon d'Or winner signed a deal worth £173m a year.
