Interesting footage of Pep Guardiola teasing Vinicius Junior during his side's game against Real Madrid on May 17 has surfaced online.
Manchester City tore apart the record European winners to win the tie 5-1 on aggregate and qualify for the Champions League final, where they will play Inter Milan on June 10.
It was sweet revenge for the Cityzens, who suffered a heartbreaking comeback from the same opponents at the same stage last year. Guardiola ensured that last season's mistakes were not repeated as he blew away his close friend Carlo Ancelotti.
Two first-half goals from Bernardo Silva and others from Manuel Akanji and Julian Alvarez were enough to do the job on the night.
What Guardiola said to Vinicius
Guardiola was seemingly having fun, if a video doing the rounds on social media is anything to go by. As GMS reports, the Spanish coach was seen asking Real Madrid's star man when they intended to start playing. The incident is understood to have happened in the first half, as translated by Madrid Universal.
Guardiola: Vini, Vini, are you guys going to play?
Vinicius: Yes, yes, in a little bit.
Surprisingly, the Brazilian starlet did not take offence to Guardiola's words and in fact, they shared a hearty handshake immediately after. The 22-year-old could not replicate his first-leg performances, with Kyle Walker doing a perfect job marking him out of the game.
Such was City's dominance that Madrid only had three shots on target in the entire 90 minutes.
