According to 90MIN, Bernardo Silva has now stated that Man City are confident they can defeat Real Madrid this term as they are not afraid of the Spanish giants.

"We have a lot of respect for them, yes, but not any fear at all. Why should we fear them? We'll try to keep the momentum we've built over two months to arrive very confident of beating them, knowing they won the Champions League last season for a reason.”

Silva hails four Madrid stars

Meanwhile, Silva has singled out four Real Madrid players for praise ahead of their Champions League clash, as reported by Daily Post.

He insisted Los Blancos would only win something with Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Vinicius Junior, and Karim Benzema because 'the shirt does not do it alone'.

Real Madrid will host Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in the Champions League semi-finals on May 9 to face either AC Milan or Inter Milan.

City's UCL Toure curse 'lifted'

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on the so-called Yaya Toure curse finally being lifted according to the Man City legend's agent, Dimitri Seluk.

The Ivorian's representative was said to have been angry with City manager, Pep Guardiola in 2018 amid claims the player had been mistreated.

This reportedly led to Toure and Seluk consulting African shamans to place a curse warding against Man City winning their third UCL title.
