Manchester City have been backed to beat Arsenal to the Premier League title for the first time in weeks.

The fresh prediction comes just hours after the Gunners were dealt a huge blow in their title bid after they dropped points against West Ham United on Sunday.

According to The Sun, the Premier League leaders were forced to a 2-2 draw during the thrilling London derby as they lost grip at the top of the standings.

Arsenal had taken a 2-0 lead via Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard before West Ham sprung a comeback through Said Benrahama and Jarrod Bowen.

The draw narrowed Arsenal's lead over Man City to just four points, with the Citizens having a game in hand.

Supercomputer's EPL prediction

A supercomputer over at bettingexpert.com has now made a fresh prediction on how the final Premier League table could look following the latest round of matches.

According to the prediction, Man City are on course to beat Arsenal to the Premier League title, in what would be a blow to Mikel Arteta's charges.

The Gunners have been backed to finish second with 86.6 points, more than 10 points ahead of Man United, who are predicted to seal a third-place finish.

Newcastle United look set to complete the top-four podium, with Tottenham forced to settle for a Europa League spot in sixth behind Brighton.

Elsewhere, Everton, Nottingham Forest, and Southampton are all predicted to be relegated, with Leicester escaping the drop by a whisker.

For weeks now, the Gunners have been the firm favourites to win this season's league, with reigning champions Man City forced to play catch-up.
