Football fans have taken to social media to react after Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Samed Salis was sent off in the game between RC Lens and PSG for a tackle on Achraf Hakimi.

The Black Stars midfielder was red carded after 19 minutes following a reckless tackle on the Moroccan as PSG went on to win 3-1 at the Parc de Princes.

Hakimi has been trending on social media for the past few days after unconfirmed reports revealed that his estranged ex-wife, Hiba Abouk, failed to claim half of his properties following their divorce case.

Following Salis' tackle on the player, social media went ablaze with many linking Ms Abouk to the red card incident.

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe - who became PSG's all-time top scorer last night- opened the scoring for the French champions before Vitinha doubled the lead six minutes later.

Mbappe linked up with Lionel Messi to extend the lead before half time.

Ten-man RC Lens pulled one back through Przemsylaw Frankowski in the second half.

Messi scores as PSG beat Lens

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that a brilliant Lionel Messi goal helped Paris Saint-Germain to a 3-1 home win over Lens on Saturday to surely end any doubt about the outcome of this season's Ligue 1 title race, after an early sending-off left the visitors with a mountain to climb.

Lens, who began the day six points behind league leaders PSG in second place, looked the better team until Ghana midfielder Salis Abdul Samed was dismissed for a dangerous challenge on Achraf Hakimi in the 19th minute.

That changed everything, and by half-time the hosts were out of sight thanks to three goals in the space of 10 minutes from Kylian Mbappe, Vitinha and then Messi, with Przemyslaw Frankowski pulling one back for Lens from a penalty.
