Former President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi has reacted to Anas Armeyaw Anas' court case defeat to politician Kennedy Agyapong.

The defamation suit brought against the Member of Parliament for Assin Central was dismissed by an Accra High Court, with the judge ruling the investigative journalist as a blackmailer and extortionist.

The news of Anas' defeat in court triggered a reaction from the man at the centre of his 2018 investigative piece, Number 12.

"The high court's decision testifies to the truth that Anas Aremwyaw Anas is not honest but as described by the court, he is a blackmailer and an extortionist," said Nyantakyi on Oman FM, as quoted by GHANAsoccernet.

"The judge also described his job as an investigative terrorist instead of investigative journalist. He has been totally disgraced. He once portrayed himself as an angel but today I'm not even sure he is at the devil's level yet," he added.

Nyantakyi was banned after the investigative piece was aired in June 2018, losing his position at CAF and FIFA subsequently.

Kennedy Agyapong dedicates court victory to Nyantakyi

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian politician, Kennedy Agyapong believes his legal case victory over investigative journalist Anas Armeyaw Anas vindicates former Ghana FA president, Kwesi Nyantakyi.

Nyantakyi resigned after an investigative piece by the journalist dubbed Number 12 revealed the ex-FIFA Executive Council allegedly received bribes.

This led to the banning of Nyantakyi as well as getting stripped off all his positions at CAF and FIFA.

Asamoah Gyan and Kwadwo Asamoah honoured an invitation from CAF President, Patrice Motsepe after attending the Outstanding Achievement Awards in Rwanda.

The former Ghana captain and the ex-Juventus star were among several African football legends at the ceremony in honour of the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame and King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

The two heads of states were awarded by Dr Motsepe following their massive contributions to football on the continent.
