Statement made by Bosso

“We worked for it. We have seen them play about two matches in Cairo.
“We tried to rush them and we did just that and got our two goals in the first half. The second half we introduced other players preparing them for the next stage.”

Victor Osimhen makes history

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Victor Osimhen became the second youngest player to score in eight consecutive Series A games after his goal in Napoli’s 2-0 win over Empoli on Saturday, 25 February.

The Nigerian international has been in wonderful form this season for Napoli in all competitions and he has now registered 19 League goals.

In total, the former Lille striker has netted 21 goals for Napoli and fans have been tipping him to emerge as the highest goalscorer at the end of the season.

Interestingly, Napoli are also topping the Serie A table and they are in the right frame to emerge as champions at the end of the season.

Ismaili's own goal gave Napoli the lead in the 17th minute before Osimhen's 28th minute strike sealed the win for the visitors in what was a tough encounter.
