With Messi still yet to decide where he will be playing his future next year, Inter Miami head coach, Phil Neville has thrown his hat into the ring, Barca Universal reported.

The former Manchester United star confirmed that his side was interested in signing both the Argentine captain and fellow Barcelona legend, Sergio Busquets.

“I’m not going to deny there isn’t truth in the speculation that we’re interested in Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets,” he said.

Where will Messi go?

Messi is currently in talks with PSG over extending his deal in France, but the rumour mill suggests that the World Cup winner isn't keen on renewing his contract.

Barcelona are monitoring the situation very carefully but their financial struggles could scupper any chance for a move for the veteran forward.

Messi has also been linked with a big-money move to Saudi Arabia in the summer, possibly linking up with Cristiano Ronaldo.

What about Busquets?

Much like Messi, Busquets is in the final months of his contract and is yet to decide on his future.

Barcelona are eager to keep the veteran midfielder for at least another season, Forbes noted, with the Spanish star also been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

Messi's possible Barcelona return

Sports Brief previously reported on Barcelona are pulling out all the stops to get Messi back at Camp Nou.

The 35-year-old is out of contract with PSG at the end of the season and is yet to agree on a new contract.

Leo's father, Jorge recently visited Barcelona soon after talks were held with PSG to discuss a possible reunion.
