  • Michael Olise broke the hearts of Manchester United with his bullet-like free kick equaliser
  • The draw stopped United from going second on the table, helping Arsenal maintain the lead
  • A video has now emerged of former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger advising the Palace winger

Manchester United would have ran away with all three points at Selhurst Park last night, if not for French winger, Michael Olise's thunderous free kick off the crossbar and into the net for the equaliser in the additional minutes.

The draw stopped the Red Devils from moving up to second on the table ahead of rivals, Manchester City and preserved Arsenal's eight-point lead at the top of the table.

Gunners fans had lauded Patrick Vieira for doing the job for his former club, but a video has now re-emerged of former Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger advising the goal scorer, as reported by The Sun.

Wenger advises Michael Olise

Since leaving the Gunners in 2018, Wenger has been FIFA's chief of global football development, as reported by Guardian. Throughout his coaching career, the 73-year-old was renowned for spotting talents first and helping develop young players.

His role at FIFA means he travels around the world more often to attend events and awards, and visits stadiums and club training complexes.

During one of those trips, he met Palace winger Olise, alongside his former player, Patrick Vieira.

According to a video by Twitter user @samira_harek, the French winger was introduced to Wenger by Vieira, and the legendary coach advised him to 'score more goals'.

It was against Man Utd, when Arsenal needed it, that the former Chelsea academy player scored one of the best goals of the season, to win a deserved point for the South London club, as noted by Sky Sports.

Why Olise didn't celebrate goal

Sports Brief earlier reported that despite scoring a late equaliser, Olise failed to celebrate and simply walked away from the opposition goal like nothing happened.

The 21-year-old has no specific reason for not celebrating goals and has acted so since his days at Reading, choosing when to celebrate and other times opting not to.

Some fans have claimed he had some sort of history with Man United, but his only link is having spent a few months in the same city in 2016 - at Man City's academy.
