Sports Mole earlier reported that the French coach would be replaced at the end of the tournament.

Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane was lined up as his replacement. The publication reported Deschamps' contract was expiring at the end of the year and that Zidane had already agreed to replace him. Deschamps has played down the reports of his imminent departure, though, as noted by respected journalist Fabrizio Romano. The French manager confirmed that he is only focused on their quarter final clash with England at the moment, and would only discuss his future after the tournament. Les Bleus are still on track to defend their title.
