England and France are gearing up for an epic clash in the quarter-final of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, and there has been a lot of talking tough from both teams.

Adrien Rabiot is the latest player to speak on the game and has fired warnings to both sides but more importantly England who he says will face difficulties in the match.

There have been many talking points about the battle that awaits Kylian Mbappe and Kyle Walker. Mbappe represents one of the French team's biggest threats.

What did Rabiot say?

The Juventus midfielder has been one of France's most in-form players in Qatar, stepping up in the absence of midfield duo of N'golo Kante and Paul Pogba who missed out due to injuries.

He warned England while speaking in a press conference ahead of the game, as shared on Twitter by Football Daily.

''Needless to say, we don't have to think and be too focused on them. They must be very careful because they will face difficulties against us. It will be an open game with great prospects, two teams that know how to counterattack and run very fast in the opponent's area,'' he said.

Both teams are brilliant at set pieces with the presence of good headers of the ball and Rabiot acknowledged it could decide the game.

''What could make a difference in such big games are set pieces.''

Rabiot wants to play in England

Sports Brief earlier reported that Adrien Rabiot expressed a desire to play in England having had a proposed move to Manchester United fail in the summer.

Rabiot confirmed there was interest from the Premier League though he did not specify club but Manchester United were confirmed admirers.

The Manchester United deal failed due to Rabiot's wage demands, according to Mirror, despite United and Juventus agreeing a fee around £15m.
