The Netherlands will take on Argentina in the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup, and the Dutch fans are up for the challenge.

Fans of the Oranje believe that they have enough to deal with the Copa America champions, and aren't particularly worried about what Lionel Messi brings to the table.

Goal recently shared a hilarious video of Dutch fans being quizzed about the upcoming game, especially their thoughts on Messi.

While some joked that they didn't know who the Argentine talisman was, others said the Dutch defence and Daley Blind were more than well-equipped to deal with the threat of the Paris Saint-Germain star.

Who's the best Dutch player?

Fans were also asked who they believed was the best player in the Netherlands' squad at the moment, and while Virgil van Dijk got a fair few votes, Frenkie de Jong was a resounding favourite among fans.

Supporters also believed that De Jong was the one player who could make a difference against the La Albiceleste.

Former Barcelona star Messi will come up against a current Barcelona star in de Jong, when the two sides meet on December 9.

The winner will set up a semi-final clash with either France or England.

The second round of the knockout stages of Qatar 2022 have already started taking shape. Argentina against the Netherlands will be the first fixture of the quarter-final.

Netherlands enjoyed a convincing victory over the USA to book a place in the quarter-final, while Argentina were made to work for their 2-1 victory over Australia.

Sergio Aguero has now offered open advice to his friend and countryman Lionel Messi, and how to deal with the threat posed by Liverpool's defender Virgil Van Dijk, Sports Brief reported.
