Fans comment on Poland's performance

@Rkxaid15:

"Poland did more against France than they ever did against Argentina."

"France has no competition against Poland. Cupcake game for France. Poland have played third-class football in the World Cup. It was just a fluke that they qualified for the Round of 16."

@InformRacing:

"I thought Poland were pretty poor overall but had some half chances. Not sure France gel as a team but with Mbappe, there's always hope for them. It will be a tough quarter-final against them......whoever wins tonight."

@pagrev:

"Skipped the France vs Poland game. Seen enough of Poland's last game."

Giroud breaks Henry's France record

Olivier Giroud became France’s top scorer of all time in the country's international history, with his 52 goals helping him surpass the legendary Thierry Henry’s tally of 51.

The 36-year-old was handed a starting berth for Les Bleus against Poland on Sunday afternoon at the Al Thumama Stadium, Sports Brief earlier reported.

The reigning world champions were overwhelming favourites heading into the game, and rightly took the lead through the AC Milan forward.
