A former Nigerian international, Daniel Amokachi, has lambasted the Nigerian Football Federation as he rallies support for Coach Jose Peseiro.

‘The Bull’ was particularly disappointed by the Super Eagles following their embarrassing 4-0 loss to World Cup-bound Portugal in an international friendly.

Amokachi attributed the Super Eagles' current woes to the wrong coaches' appointment to handle the team.

In a recent interview with Channels Television, Amokachi admitted that it would be too early to sack the tactician but added that Peseiro should be provided with help wherever he needs it.

He said, as per Complete Sports:

“When you look at the Portugal game, that tells you that we don’t even deserve to be there (World Cup).
“There are one two three different angles that you have to look at it, bringing in the right coach, bringing in the right players and get the right environment to play at.
“We always bring the wrong coaches to handle country like Nigeria; we always bring the wrong players.”

Nigerians blast Eagles over 4-0 loss to Portugal

Meanwhile, Nigerians have taken to various social media platforms to lambast the Super Eagles following their embarrassing 4-0 loss to Portugal in an international friendly.

Even without captain Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese team ran riot and thoroughly sent a warning as they headed to Qatar for the World Cup.

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes grabbed a brace in the encounter, and then Goncalo Ramos and Joao Mario got a goal each in the second half.

Rohr blasts Pinnick over Rohr’s World Cup debacle

Sports Brief earlier reported that former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has lashed out at the ex-Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick over Nigeria's failure to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar.

Rohr had led the team to the final round of the World Cup qualifiers, but the Franco-German tactician was fired on the eve of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Rohr has been left embittered at the situation, with the tactician once again maintaining that Pinnick caused the World Cup debacle for Nigeria.
