Lionel Messi is all set for the 2022 FIFA World Cup as the 35-year-old hopes to lead Argentina to the country’s third World Cup title and the first of his career.

La Albiceleste, backed by an in-form Messi, are among the favorites to win the World Cup that will begin in Qatar on November 20 although the PSG star is weary of two other nations.

According to Sportskeeda, Messi believes Brazil and France will be Argentina’s biggest threat to winning the tournament in Qatar due to the quality of players both nations possess.

"France are good. They have some players injured, but they have a scary amount of potential in the squad. They have top players and a coach that has been there for a while with the same group and already won last the last World Cup.
"Brazil also have a core of players with a lot of quality, especially in the final third where they can beat men, they have good No.9s, Neymar."

Argentina has been drawn in Group C at the 2022 FIFA World Cup alongside Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Poland.

Messi faked injury in Argentina's public training

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi pulled a stunt on the football community in Argentina’s camp for the World Cup after he faked having an injury in training, Give Me Sport reports.

During the session, which was attended by a number of fans, the seven-time Ballon d’Or grabbed the back of his leg and faked an injury, before laughing it off with teammate, Rodrigo De Paul.

Messi will be in action for Argentina in a World Cup warm-up match against the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, November 16 at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium.

Messi arrived at the Argentina camp in Abu Dhabi alongside Juventus pair Angel Di Maria and Leonardo Paredes, with just 6 days to the start of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Argentina has been scheduled to play against the UAE at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium on Wednesday, November 16, in their only friendly match before their first group game in Qatar.
