Cristiano Ronaldo has taken to Instagram with another subtle dig at Manchester United amid a sensational fallout with the club.

The 37-year-old stole all the headlines in the football world on Sunday and Monday after a sensational interview with TV personality Piers Morgan where he went for a number of figures at Manchester United including Erik Ten Hag.

In the interview, Ronaldo all but buried his Manchester United career as he criticized the club for a number of things including the manager, whom he said he had no respect for.

Ronaldo also said not much had changed at Manchester United from when he was in his 20s, including some club facilities like the gym and swimming pool.

More sensationally, he said he strongly believed and felt betrayed by the club.

Ronaldo’s Instagram post

Barely 24 hours after the world got a glimpse of what was to come in the explosive interview, Ronaldo was on Instagram to show his unbothered demeanor at what was going on at his club.

On social media, he shared a photo alongside some of his Portugal teammates along with the caption:

“Total and absolute focus on National Team work. United group, towards one objective: realize the dream of all Portuguese people!”

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was included in the Portugal squad by Fernando Santos in what will possibly be his last World Cup.

Ronaldo accused United of lacking empathy

Sports Brief also earlier reported on Ronaldo’s bold accusations against Manchester United where he claimed the club lacked empathy when he lost his daughter.

Ronaldo now says that the club showed no empathy at all. Ronaldo had revealed that he and his partner Georgina Rodriguez had gotten twins, but their son died during birth on April 18th.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has also revealed that the Royal Family sent him a note after the passing of his son.
