  • The pair have been involved in a staggering 27 goals for PSG since the start of the ongoing campaign

Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé were at their destructive best when Paris Saint-Germain took on relegation-threatened Ajaccio in the French top flight on match day 12.

The duo combined to a devastating effect as PSG secured a comfortable 3-0 victory at the Stade Francois Coty on Friday night.

Mbappe scored twice while Messi notched a solitary goal as Les Parisiens maintained their unblemished start to the season.

In the absence of Neymar, Messi and Mbappe's perfect link-up produced all three goals for PSG, which has since gone viral.

In a video posted on Twitter, seen by Sports Brief, the telepathic understanding between the Frenchman and the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner came to the fore in PSG's second goal of the encounter.

In one of PSG's series of attacking escapades, Juan Bernat, who was overlapping on the left hand side, located Messi in front of the Ajaccio penalty box. The Argentine then found Mbappe with a one-time pass.

The 23-year-old Frenchman held on the ball to allow Messi dash into the box before releasing the ball to Messi with backheel pass and the 35-year-old ex-Barca forward dummied the goalkeeper before tucking the ball at the back of the net.

Mbappe misses sitter in PSG win

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Kylian Mbappé is hugely talented and often leaves fans amazed by his skill.

The Paris Saint-Germain attacker also proved that he could amaze fans with his misses as well.

That was the case when PSG took on AC Ajaccio in Ligue 1 as Mbappé scored a beauty but also missed an absolute sitter.
