  • Jose Mourinho is arguably the funniest football figure on the internet
  • The Portuguese tactician had to watch his side’s 2-1 win over Inter from the team bus as he served a ban
  • He took to Instagram to document his day, leaving fans in stitches

Roma boss Jose Mourinho left fans in hysterics after documenting his bittersweet day on Saturday, October 1.

Mourinho had to watch his side play against his former team Inter from the team bus, as he was serving a ban following his sending-off in the defeat to Atalanta in September.

He was sent off for making his way onto the pitch during the Atalanta game, effectively earning himself a touchline ban.

This basically meant the 59-year-old had to watch his team in action against the 2021 Scudetto winners from the team bus, and it is safe to say he certainly made the most of it.

In typical Jose Mourinho style, the gaffer kept his followers on Instagram updated with a series of posts on how his day was going.

Roma did not make the best of starts as they went behind through Federico Dimarco, but goals from Paulo Dybala and former Manchester United man Chris Smalling turned the game on its head to give the Giallorossi all three points.

Mourinho was clearly having a difficult time not being able to give his team instructions and he uploaded a video of himself making his frustrations clear, albeit in hilarious fashion.

Then at one point, a seemingly bored Mourinho ventured outside to nag a member of his coaching staff, capturing it all on camera.

In the end, he was sure to show his appreciation to his side, who managed to win the game without the physical presence of their manager on the dugout.

While watching the game, Mourinho could be heard saying in one of the posts:

"Well done guys, great football."
