  • Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is said to be working on improving his right foot, which is perceived to be 'weak'
  • Haaland started doing extra work on his right foot during his Borussia Dortmund days
  • His left foot has always been clinical, with the Norwegian currently leading scoring charts in the English Premier League

Erling Haaland has taken to Premier League life like a duck in water. Considered one of the best teenage strikers in the world, Haaland took little time to find his feet in Manchester.

After a calamitous debut in the Community Shield, the Norwegian turned on a new leaf and has since scored 11 goals in the top flight.

He has formed a beautiful relationship with Manchester City's playmaker-in-chief Kevin De Bruyne. Apart from benefitting from De Bruyne's ingenuity, Haaland's natural ability to position himself has set him apart.

Daily Mail now reports that the former Borussia Dortmund striker is now working on his perceived weaker right foot. To put it into context, only 15 of his 133 professional goals have come from his right foot.

His left foot, meanwhile, is lethal. Maybe not to the same level yet as Lionel Messi's left foot, but he has shown it has the potential to inflict damage.

Haaland has been working on the right foot to bring it almost to a similar level to the left foot. It was a process that he started in Germany under Alexander Zickler.

The early signs are positive as he recently scored with his right foot against Wolverhampton Wanderers from way out.

His next test will be his first Manchester derby.

Erling Haaland's father reveals that Real Madrid was his son's third choice

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Erling Haaland's father, Alfie Haaland, disclosed Real Madrid was his son's third choice before his summer transfer to Manchester City.

Haaland swapped the Bundesliga for the Premier League this summer, scoring 86 goals in 89 matches across all competitions for Borussia Dortmund in his two-year stint with the club.

He has already hit the ground running at his new club, Man City, notching an eyewatering 14 goals in 11 games for the Cityzens - 11 goals in the Premier League and 3 in the Champions League.
