Accra Hearts of Oak supporters reminded fans of Asante Kotoko of their recent defeat after chanting Kadiogo moments before the Super Clash at the Baba Yara stadium.

The two Ghanaian football powerhouse lock horns on matchday three of the domestic topflight league in Kuamsi.

In a video posted on social media, fans of Hearts of Oak loudly taunted Asante Kotoko with Kadiogo chants.

RC Kadiogo is a Burkinabe club which eliminated Asante Kotoko from the CAF Champions League last week. The defeat to Kadiogo has been the talking point ahead of the big game in Kumasi.

Hearts of Oak fans are confident ahead of the match and had to remind the Porcupine Warriors of their latest disappointment.

The Phobians will be without talisman Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, who is with the Black Stars for the international friendly against Nicaragua on Tuesday.

Asante Kotoko eliminated from CAF Champions League by RC Kadiogo

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Asante Kotoko have been booted out of the CAF Champions League after a penalty shootout defeat to Burkinabe side RC Kadiogo.

The Ghanaian champions were stunned at home after Kadiogo scored early through a brilliant freekick from Bassika Syla.

Kotoko huffed and puffed as they chase an equalizer, but the visitors defended resolutely to keep the Reds at bay.

Hearts of Oak sign Congolese youngster Lina Mtange

Accra Hearts of Oak have boosted their squad with the signing of DR Congo U20 star Linda Mtange Don ahead of the new season.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder joins the Phobians for the 2022/23 season after impressing the club during trials.

According to reports, the DR Congo youngster, who previously played for AS Douphine Noir, showed enormous qualities to convince the club to hand him a deal.
