Accra Hearts of Oak have boosted their squad with the signing of DR Congo U20 star Linda Mtange Don ahead of the new season.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder joins the Phobians for the 2022/23 season after impressing the club during trials.

According to reports, the DR Congo youngster, who previously played for AS Douphine Noir, showed enormous qualities to convince the club to hand him a deal.

Linda Mtange Don scored in the pre-season friendly against Ebony FC and was also in action for Hearts in the game against Babiani Gold Stars.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Accra Hearts of Oak have completed the signing of lethal Cameroonian striker Junior Kaaba in the transfer window.

Junior Kaaba joins the Phobians on a two-year-deal from Cameroonian topflight side Fauvre FC.

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored the winning goal as Hearts of Oak defended their MTN FA Cup trophy after defeating Bechem United 2-1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Phobians rallied from behind to record a 2-1 victory over the Hunters at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

This victory in the final means that coach Samuel Boadu and his men have successfully defended the title they won last season and their 12th FA Cup title in history.
