Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo has continued his sparkling form abroad as he made a sensational assist in Al Shabab’s 3-0 win over Al Ahli in the Saudi Pro League.
It was an easy win for the hosts as Ahmed Mohammed Sharahili opened the scoring as early as the 12th minute at the King Fahd International Stadium.
Alfred N'Diaye extended the lead in the 70th minute with another goal while Nigeria’s Ighalo set up Cristian Guanca on the stroke of 90 minutes for the third goal.
Ighalo who joined the Saudi club after seeing off his loan deal at Manchester United completed a solo run down into the opposition area before he squared the ball to Guanca who jabbed the ball into the roof of the net.
Al Shabab are currently on top of the Saudi Arabia Pro League with 41 points from 20 matches; Al Hilal are second with 36 points from 19 matches while Al Ahli are third with 35 points from 20 games.
Ighalo finally scored his first goal for his new side in their emphatic League win over Ahmed Musa's former club Al-Nassr.
After spending a year on loan at Manchester United, the 31-year-old Premier League side in January this year due to lack of active playing time under Ole Solskjaer.
Having failed to score on his debut versus Al Raed, the 31-year-old made his presence count as the White Lions extended their winning streak to four.
Odion Ighalo is expected to start for his club in their next League game against Al Fateh on Wednesday, February 24.
