Super Eagles Winger Moses Simon Speaks for the First Time After Winning Coupe de France Title

Nigerian international Moses Simon was in action for 73 minutes helping his Nantes side to a 1-0 win over Nice as they emerged this season’s Coupe de France champions.

The ex-Gent winger helped his side to another title and has taken to social media to reveal the secret behind his success for this campaign.

Simon has been phenomenal for the French club this season where he found the back of the net six times and also made eight assists.

His performances during the campaign earned him three Player of the Month Awards, including that of April as he continues to enjoy his time in France.

The Super Eagles winger scored his side’s winning penalty kick over Monaco in the semifinal of the Coupe de France and now he has won the title as Nantes stunned Nice 1-0 to secure their fourth-ever French Cup triumph.

Simon took his time to reminisce and then wrote on Twitter:

“Na God. Always put your trust in him. Champ merci à vous @FCNantes.”

Eguavoen congratulates Simon, Sanusi

Meanwhile, Super Eagles head coach to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Augustine Eguavoen has congratulated French Cup winner Moses Simon and compatriot Zaidu Sanusi on the successes recorded at the club level.

The Nigerian defender, on Saturday, won the Portuguese Primeira Lig in style with FC Porto.

Eguavoen wrote:

“Congratulations to Moses Simon and Zaidu Sanusi for winning the French Cup and Portuguese title, respectively, with Nantes and FC Porto. Well done to both of them!”
