Iwobi Impresses As Everton Beat Leicester City to Improve Chances of Staying in the Premier League

Everton Football Club have improved their chances of staying in the Premier League following a hard-fought victory against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon, Liverpool Echo reports.

Frank Lampard's side claimed all vital three points away from home to take them out of the bottom three as it ended 2-1.

Everton fans were very vocal in the stands as they cheered their side to a crucial win that could ensure they avoid the drop at the end of the season.

Vitaliy Mykolenko opened the scoring for Everton in the 6th minute with a great strike on the volley from the edge of the box to give the Toffees the lead.

And the Foxes restored parity just five minutes later as Patson Daka fired past Pickford after Mina and Coleman failed to deal with a looping ball to make it 1-1.

Midway through the first half, the game settled after injured Mina was replaced by Keane.

Everton began to rely on Doucoure being everywhere. He was the only link between defence and attack at the moment, playing a frenetic box-to-box role.

The Toffees were back in front in the 30th minute courtesy of a Mason Holgate strike as the English player headed home from close range.

Jordan Pickford made a number of crucial saves during the encounter as it ended 2-1 at halftime.

It was an end to end second 45 minutes as both teams searched for goals but somehow the goals in the first half were enough.

It ended; Leicester 1-2 Everton and Frank Lampard will be delighted to help Everton pick up all three points on the road for the first time since August.

Iwobi credits Lampard with his current form

Sports Brief earlier reported that Alex Iwobi is enjoying playing football once again as the Super Eagles midfielder is considered one of the key players at the English Premier League club, Everton.

Iwobi who has witnessed an upturn in his club form has now credited current Everton manager, Frank Lampard for his latest rise in form.

After a private conversation with Everton boss Lampard, the former Arsenal winger believes he has persuaded Lampard in words and actions that he can do a good job in central midfield.
