Ghana Annihilate Guinea 10:1 on Aggregate to Edge Closer to U17 Women’s World Cup

The Black Maidens of Ghana are on the verge of qualifying for the World Cup appearance after thumping Guinea in the second leg of the qualifiers on Saturday.

The Ghana U-17 side recorded a 7-0 victory at the Accra Sports Stadium to book their place in the final round of the qualifiers for the Women’s U-17 World Cup.

Coach Baba Nuhu’s side progressed to the last round of the qualifiers on a 10-1 aggregate after winning the first leg 3-1 away in Conakry.

Goals from Georgina Aoyem, Dejean Kubura, Mary Amponsah and a brace from Nancy Amoh and Constance Agyemang ensured the Maidens continue in their quest to extend their record of qualifying for every edition of the U-17 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The result means the Black Maidens advance into the fourth round of the qualifying series, where they will face Morocco.

The seventh edition of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup finals will be held in India between 11–30 October 2022.

Black Maidens Record 3:1 Victory over Guinea in Conakry

Sports Brief earlier reported that the Black Maidens of Ghana are on the verge of qualifying for the World Cup appearance after thumping Guinea in the first leg of the qualifiers.

The Ghana U-17 side recorded a 3-1 away victory in Conakry to put one foot at the Women’s U-17 World Cup.

Coach Baba Nuhu’s side will face their Guinean counterparts next two weekends for the reverse fixture in Cape Coast.
