The yet-to-be-identified woman sported a black outfit advertising WTF coin cryptocurrency.

SunSport reports she nearly made it to the halfway line during her sprint at Saint Petersburg Stadium before she was apprehended by security.

Coincidentally, this was not the first instance of pitch invading in the ongoing Euros after a man interrupted another group match between Russia and Denmark.

The man who wore a white shirt and jeans made it onto the pitch, but he too was quickly whisked away by security.

Fortunately for Romelu Lukaku and his teammates, the Monday evening incident did not detract from the quality of football as Belgium stormed to victory in the Group B clash.

Lukàs Hràdecky's 74th own goal and Lukaku's strike deep in the second half was all the Red Devils needed to seal an important win that earned them a spot in the knockout round as group leaders.

Champions League final interrupted by streaker

In 2019, a pitch invader briefly interrupted the Champions League final between Liverpool and Tottenham at Wanda Metropolitano.

The invader, an Instagram model identified as Kinsey Wolanski treated spectators to the bizarre scene after evading stewards to sprint past players towards the centre of the pitch in the 18th minute of the match.

Goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi saw Liverpool sink Tottenham 2-0 to lift the European title.

Salah slotted home from the penalty spot after just two minutes of gameplay before Origi doubled the lead late in the second half.

Meanwhile, earlier reported that Phil Foden has revealed that his England national teammates have agreed to copy his bleach-blond hairstyle if they win the European Championship this summer.

The Manchester City star wore a new look inspired by Gazza heading into the tournament and he has convinced his colleagues to follow suit if they emerge victorious at the end of the tourney.

Gareth Southgate's men will now be hoping they can pick at least a point when they face current Group D table topper Czech Republic in their last group game to progress to the next stage.
