Three spots are yet to be filled in the tournament, as the last representative from Europe and two Inter-Confederation Playoffs need to be decided.

In the European playoff, Scotland will take on Ukraine, with the winner playing Wales for the final spot in Group B. The winner of the European playoff agame will be grouped with England, Iran and the United States of America. The English will be favourites to top the group, no matter who else is drawn into it, The Guardian reported.

The two Inter-Confederation Playoffs will see Costa Rica play New Zealand for a spot alongside Spain, Germany and Japan, while Peru will play the winner of Australia versus the United Arab Emirates for a spot alongside France, Denmark and Tunisia, SkySports reported.

Defending champions France have an easier group as compared to some of the other big European sides, but can’t afford to be complacent. Number two ranked side, Belgium, face Canada, Morocco and Croatia. Brazil have a tricky prospect though, as they face Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon.

The FIFA World Cup begins on 21 November in Qatar, with the final being played on 18 December.

Ghanaians want revenge after drawing Uruguay and Portugal in World Cup

Ghana has been drawn against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in Group H of the World Cup following Friday’s draw in Doha, Qatar, Sports Brief earlier reported.

The Black Stars found themselves in Pot 4 alongside Cameroon, Canada, Ecuador, Saudi Arabia, Wales/Scotland/Ukraine, Peru/Australia/UAE and Costa Rica/New Zealand. The Black Stars qualified for the World Cup after urging the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a two-legged playoff earlier this week.

Ghana were held to a goalless draw in the first leg in Kumasi at the Baba Yara sports stadium before Thomas Partey's goal in Abuja proved decisive after the 1-1 draw. Ghana is making her fourth appearance at the Mundial, after appearing at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 editions. The Black Stars missed Russia 2018.
