The Black Stars have been drawn against Uruguay Portugal and South Korea in Group H of the Qatar 2022 World Cup following Friday’s draw in Qatar.

Ghana found themselves in in Pot 4 alongside Cameroon, Canada, Ecuador, Saudi Arabia, Wales/Scotland/Ukraine, Peru/Australia/UAE and Costa Rica/New Zealand.

Otto Addo's men qualified for the World Cup after urging the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a two-legged playoff earlier this week.

Ghana were held to a goalless draw in the first leg in Kumasi at the Baba Yara sports stadium before Thomas Partey's goal in Abuja proved decisive after the 1-1 draw.

Ghana is making her fourth appearance at the Mundial, after appearing at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 editions. The Black Stars missed Russia 2018.

Ghana versus Uruguay in 2010

The Black Stars scored first through Sulley Muntari from a long range strike before Diego Forlan equalized with a free kick.

On the stroke of full time, Ghana had a corner kick and Dominic Adiyiah headed the ball goal wards but Luis Suarez clawed the ball away with his bare hands like a goalkeeper.

He was shown a red card and Ghana awarded a penalty but Asamoah Gyan missed and Ghana lost the post match penalties.

Ghana versus Portugal in 2014

The Black Stars to Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal in their final group game at the 2014 World Cup.

Portugal took the lead through a John Boye own goal but Asamoah Gyan restored parity early in the second half. But five-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo netted in the 80th minute to secure victory for the Selecao.

Ghana beat Nigeria to qualify for Qatar 2022

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Four times African champions, Ghana have been drawn alongside European heavyweights Portugal, former World Champions Uruguay and South Korea.

The Black Stars will open their campaign at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with a blockbuster clash against Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal.

Ghana are appearing at the World Cup for the fourth time after missing the 2018 edition in Russia.
