Hearts of Oak midfielder Sulley Muntari's mobile phone was stolen moments after his side's crunch game against rivals Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The 37-year-old put up an incredible performance in the Super Clash and lasted 52 minutes in the 0-0 draw with the Porcupine Warriors.

And after the game, it has emerged that the theft took place when the former AC Milan midfielder voluntarily decided to do a photoshoot session with some of the fans.

Muntari then had his pocket picked after fans mobbed him to take pictures.

Hearts of Oak's Communication Director, Opare Addo confirmed the incident on Asempa FM.

"Yes, I heard of the incident this evening. Sulley was doing a photoshoot with some of the fans and unfortunately, someone picked his phone from his pocket.

It is reported that Muntari's phone is an iPhone 12 pro Max.

Muntari signed a one-year contract with the Phobians after almost two years without a club as he seeks to give his career one last dance.

Players Of Hearts, Kotoko Share Lovely Pictures After Epic Super Clash

After the Super Clash on Sunday, both sides shared the spoils and players on each side threw away the rivalry for a fun time together.

In photos posted on Twitter, man-of-the-match winner Dennis Korsah and Kotoko midfield enforcer Richard Boadu were seen having a fun time together.

At the same time Ushau Abu, Ibrahim Imoro and Ismail Ganiu shared a picture together among a host of others.

Earlier, Sports Brief that Pitso Mosimane, one of the best coaches on the continent has praised former AC Milan and Inter star Sulley Muntari for making a return to the Ghana Premier League.

Sulley Muntari joined Accra Hearts of Oak in the transfer window on a year deal after an illustrious career in Europe, where he won the UEFA Champions League with Inter Milan.

Al Ahly coach, Pitso Mosimane who has been monitoring events in Ghana before the Super Clash between Hearts and Kotoko expressed delight in seeing Muntari return to the domestic league.
