Ghana midfielder Abdul Majeed Ashimeru continued his fine form in Belgium after netting his third goal of the season as Anderlecht defeated KRC Genk on Sunday, February 20, 2022.

The Black Stars player gave an Anderlecht the lead in the 36th minute as they cruised to a 2-0 win at home at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium.

Ashimeru showed composure to finish brilliantly before celebrating in front of the home fans as Anderlecht made it three wins on a row.

Five minutes after breaking the deadlock for Anderlecht, Yari Verschaeren doubled the lead before the break after pouncing on an assist from Christian Kouame.

Majeed Ashimeru is enjoying a decent campaign in the Jupiler Pro League and seems to have seized the opportunity since replacing Kristoffer Olsson.

Olsson replaced the Ghana international in the 80th minute of the 2-0 victory on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian-born Belgium youth international Francis Amuzu was introduced late in the game. He replaced second goal scorer Yari Verschaeren.

Majeed Ashimeru has made 27 appearances in the Belgium topflight league this season.

Majeed Ashimeru shows love on the streets of Brussels

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana and Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru extended his philanthropic works to the streets of Belgium after he went out to give back to the streets.

The midfielder showed love to the people living on the streets by sharing food and spending time with them in Brussels.

In a video posted on Facebook by the player, sighted by YEN.com.gh, Ashimeru speaks about what it means to be on the streets and where he comes from.

Ashimeru meets Jamaican star Popcaan

Anderlecht and Ghana midfielder, Majeed Ashimeru has met one of his music icons, Popcaan, while on vacation in Accra during the winter break.

The Anderlecht star could not hold his excitement as he shared the moment on Social Media, with the slogan 'Unruly'.

Popcaan, whose real name is Andre Hugh Sutherland has been in Ghana for the holidays.
