Arsenal have reportedly added Chelsea starlet Armando Broja to their list of summer transfer targets.
Following the January departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Gunners are understood to be desperate to sign a striker this summer.
Why Arsenal are keen on Broja
Broja has been in fine shape for Southampton where he is currently on loan from Chelsea.
The 20-year-old has already scored six goals for the Saints and played a crucial role in Southampton's 1-1 draw with Man United at Old Trafford on Saturday, February 12.
Arsenal face hurdles in signing Broja
Arsenal's pursuit for the Albania international is expected to face major hurdles, with Southampton said to be ready to make a club-record bid to sign the promising striker on a permanent transfer before his loan ends.
However, despite interest by the Gunners and Southampton to sign Broja, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has already hinted the Blues are keen to keep the youngster.
Back in January, the German tactician suggested the Albanian striker still has a future at Stamford Bridge.
"He is our player, he is doing good. But at the same time, it is only halfway through the season, so he needs to continue to improve and make his statement at Southampton," Tuchel was quoted saying.
Arsenal's transfer options
Meanwhile, Arsenal are believed to have lined up a number of transfer options should they miss out on Broja.
Real Sociedad’s Alexander Isak is reportedly the north London club’s alternative option, with the Swede open to a move if Arsenal secure Champions League qualification this season.
