Having failed to make a first-team appearance for Premier League club Manchester City, Philippe Sandler has finally left the club after three-and-a-half years.

SPORTbible reports that the central defendermoved to the Etihad Stadium outfit from PEC Zwolle back in 2018 on a deal said to be worth around 3 million euros.

Why Sandler parted ways with City

Not satisfied with his lack of action, he has been allowed to leave the Citizens for free as he joins Feyenoord on a six-month deal.

A clause in the contract says if he impresses, the deal will be renewed as City released him from his contract.

Feyenoord sporting director Frank Arnesen is pleased with the signing and hopes Sandler can get his career back on track.

He said per Manchester Evening News:

"The Netherlands is familiar territory for Philippe.
"Due to his years abroad, he comes back as a more experienced player. In addition, he has become physically stronger. We expect that he as a player and we as a club will benefit a lot from that
"We had to look very specifically and creatively in this transfer window at how and in which positions we could strengthen the selection – taking both the short and long term into account.”

Arsenal set for summer transfer signing spree

Meanwhile, Arsenal are ready to release a mega war chest to back manager Mikel Arteta in the summer transfer window as the Gunners aim to strengthen its squad ahead of next season.

The Gunners witnessed the sales of top players in the January window with players such as Calum Chambers, Sead Kolasinac and Aubameyang ended up leaving on a permanent basis.

Arsenal are now reportedly eyeing another summer of spending as Mikel Arteta is set to be handed a £180million transfer war chest.

Top European clubs on alert over Haaland’s availability

Sports Brief earlier reported that Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been placed on alert on the availability of Borussia Dortmund striker, Erling Haaland, as it appears Real Madrid have backed out of signing the striker.

Haaland has been on the radar of almost all top club sides in Europe due to his remarkable scoring form for Dortmund with many expecting the Norwegian to move to a bigger club next summer.

Haaland's contract runs until 2024, but there is a release clause that would allow him to leave this summer for a fee of €75 million.
