Thiago Silva sent Neymar a trolling message recently after the Paris Saint Germain superstar was named the best Brazilian player in Europe, again.

Neymar scooped the honor for a record-breaking fifth time after what was another impressive year for the 29-year old in the Ligue 1.

Despite his obvious talent, not everyone was particularly happy with Neymar’s success yet again, and Thiago Silva was one of such people.

The Chelsea defender decided to make his feelings known in hilarious fashion as he sent Neymar an online jab in the Instagram DMs.

Neymar shared the Instagram reply to the world showing Thiago Silva’s reaction to his win.

"After you arrived in Europe I didn't win anymore! F you haha,” the DM from the Chelsea defender read.

Past winners of Brazil’s best player

In his prime, Silva was always favourite to win the best Brazilian in Europe award.

He won it for three years in a row between 2011 and 2013 before Neymar started taking Europe by storm when he joined Barcelona from Santos.

Notably, since Neymar joined Barcelona, Silva has not won the award again.

Neymar won the award in 2014 and 2015, before Phillipe Coutinho scooped it in 2016 when he was a Liverpool player.

The award would then go back to Neymar in 2017, before the superstar joined PSG for a record-breaking fee.

Liverpool duo Roberto Firmino and Alisson also won the award in 2018 and 2019 respectively, and Neymar has won it in the subsequent years.

Neymar has been out of action for both club and country since November 2021 when he suffered a horror ankle injury.

Neymar goes public with stunning girlfriend

Recently, the Brazilian made headlines after going public with his new girlfriend Bruna Biancardi.

The two travelled together to Brazil during Christmas, where Biancardi spent time with Neymar's family and friends.

Whereas neither Neymar nor Biancardi has spoken publicly about their union, their recent trip to Brazil appeared to confirm the romance.
