Lionel Messi appears to be frustrated with life in Paris already after struggling to adapt to his new surroundings in the French capital.

The Argentine captain had switched teams last summer by joining PSG from Barcelona in a deal that shook the football fraternity.

Messi was forced to leave Barcelona due to the Club’s financial troubles which meant they could not afford to renew his contract, despite the 34-year old offering to take an enormous pay cut.

According to a report via the Daily Star, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner is struggling with the language barrier, the weather in Paris and also being away from his old home.

It is reported Messi’s new home is without a personal football pitch, swimming pool, extensive gardens and also a scenic view, which the Barcelona legend is thought to be struggling with.

Messi cautions Barcelona coach Xavi against signing PSG teammate

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi has advised old friend and Barcelona coach Xavi against signing Xavi Simons from PSG.

Both Barcelona legends had met up last month in the Catalan city for Xavi’s birthday dinner when Messi cautioned against brining the PSG young star to the Camp Nou.

According to Metro UK, Simons will be out of contract with PSG at the end of the season and his agent, Mino Raiola, has been sounding out Barca’s hierarchy regarding the possibility of a return.

Simons came through Barca’s academy but left the club in 2019 after being offered a lucrative deal by the Ligue 1 giants.
