MFM F.C's history

The football club was started in 2007 by the Mountain of Fire and Miracles ministries. When did the MFM F.C. join the NPFL? The club has had 7 years as of 2022 in the league after joining in 2015. The club replaced the Bolowatan FC in the national league.

The Lagos based club is active in developing young talent through the MFM Football Academy. They have trained several talented youth players, including Stephen Odey, Siriku Olatunbosun and Chukwuka Onuwa. Some of the academy graduates and former players have gone on to join the National Football Team and foreign football clubs.

The club's founder, Dr David Olukoya, is the head pastor at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries. The religious leader also heads MFM F.C's management. The Nigerian Professional Football League is one of the richest leagues globally. Although the MFM F.C's networth is not known yet, the church ministries are said to be worth multi-millions of dollars.

MFM F.C's legends include CNN Goal of the Week award winner Sikiri Olatunbosun who scored a goal 25 yards away in a match against Rangers International. Another notable legend is attacking midfielder Chukwuka Onuwa Emmanuel.
