The fight, which will be aired on Netflix, has sparked mixed reactions from fans, who are concerned about the 31-year age difference between the two fighters.

Jake Paul is arguably in his athletic prime at 27, while Mike Tyson is pushing 58 by the time the fight rolls by.

Amid concerns, Tyson took to his social media to subtly reassure fans as he shared a video of himself in a training session.

If the video is anything to go by, the retired heavyweight champion looks like he is in great shape and showed incredible agility for his age as he threw some jabs at his trainer.

“It’s day 1. The fun has just begun,” Tyson wrote in the caption.

In his heyday, no one could come close to ‘Iron Mike’ in a boxing ring.

Nicknamed ‘the baddest man on the planet’, the heavyweight icon is considered one of the greatest boxers in the history of the sport.

He became the youngest heavyweight champion in history at the age of 20 when he famously beat Trevor Berbick, per The Guardian.

Before being inducted into the Hall of Fame, Tyson faced formidable fighters including Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield.

For Jake Paul, one of the only advantages he enjoys over Tyson is the fact that he is younger.

The Youtuber has mostly competed at cruiserweight (200lb), but is determined to ascend to a world champion.

His co-manager, Shelly Finkel, explained that they would be open to speaking to Joshua’s camp to make it happen.
