Former UFC double champ, Henry Cejudo, believes the stage is set for a third fight and pitched an exciting possibility for that bout.

As noted by LowKickMMA, the American legend talked about the possibility of that fight being a champion vs champion bout.

Pereira is the current Light-Heavyweight champion, while Izzy is rumoured to be soon facing Dricus du Plessis for the Middleweight strap.

“Who knows, guys? Potentially, Israel Adesanya wins that bout against Dricus du Plessis. Maybe they [Adesanya and Pereira] can run it back, belt versus belt bout at 185 or at 205,” Cejudo said.

A trilogy fight between the duo would be a mouth-watering prospect for any MMA fan.

Poatan and The Last Stylebender have been rivals before the UFC, and neither has bragging rights in the Octagon.

Fox Sports reported that the Brazilian superstar won their first battle between the two, beating the Nigerian-born athlete by strikes in the fifth round.

Adesanya got his revenge and the Middleweight title back when he knocked out Poatan at UFC 287. He also proved that he could beat the Brazilian, the only man to beat Pereira in kickboxing and the Middleweight division in the UFC at that point in time.
