The 33-year-old Nigerian star was at his best on April 9, knocking out his UFC rival to the delight of fans in the audience and those who watched the major bout on television.
Going into the battle, Adesanya knew that another loss against Pereira would be a serious blow to his fighting career, having been beaten by the Brazilian three times previously.
However, the Nigerian made himself and his fans proud by inflicting a painful defeat on Pereira, this reclaiming his middleweight title.

According to the photo Adesanya posted on his official Twitter page, the fighter was spotted in a joyous mood with Usman and Gold.

Meanwhile, Pereira has broken his silence after his loss against Adesanya, revealing he did not sustain any serious injury despite being knocked out.
"I’m just here to let you know that I’m fine. I want to thank my family, my team and all the people who are supporting me during my journey. Now I just have to rest and continue with the plans that are already on motion. Thanks God.”
