A new winner from the Men's Singles will emerge on Sunday, June 11, with 14-time winner Rafael Nadal absent from Roland Garros for the first time since 2005.

The legendary Spaniard prevailed on the Paris clay last year to become the oldest French Open champion in history, but he has been plagued by a hip injury this year.

Djokovic and Alcaraz are favourites to take over from Nadal.

World No. 1 Swiatek is on track to secure a hat-trick of French Open Singles titles. She is the overwhelming favourite in the final against Muchova, who entered the French Open ranked 43rd in the world, per New York Times.

But how much do they make in every round at the French Open? Sports Brief takes a look.

Djokovic, 36, is looking for a record-breaking 23rd Grand Slam Men's Singles crown, which would make him the outright leader in men's singles titles, per ATP.

20-year-old Alcaraz is seeking his first Roland Garros final and his second major title. He won the US Open in September 2022, his first Grand Slam title.

Ruud vs. Zverev semi-final preview

Sports Brief earlier previewed the semifinal showdown between Ruud and Zverev, who will battle for a spot in the final.

Zverev will fancy his chances against Ruud as he holds a 2-1 advantage in their head-to-head matchup.

For the German to grab the all-important victory, however, he will need to find ways to limit his miscues. He committed 44 unforced errors in his win against Tomas Martin Etcheverry.
