Roger Federer is a former Swiss professional tennis player. His 103 singles victories on the ATP Tour rank second all-time, and they include 20 major men's singles titles, a record eight Wimbledon victories for men, a joint-record five US Open victories for men during the Open Era, and a record six year-end victories.

What tennis racket did Roger Federer use?

Federer played with his personal Wilson Pro Staff RF 97 Autograph racquet, which is available for purchase. His strings were Champions Choice.

For many years, he used the Wilson Pro Staff 90, a 90-inch racquet with a modest but effective sweet spot. Then, after a year filled with injuries and declining results, he decided it was time to move on a step further and collaborated with Wilson to create a new, more potent racquet with a bigger beam and racquet head. It became the Wilson Pro Staff Roger Federer Autograph 97.

If any, then very few racquets can compare to the legacy of the Wilson Pro Staff. The first carbon fibre Pro Staff was introduced in 1983 and has since been swung by a production line of Grand Slam champions and Hall of Famers.

Perhaps the Swiss international, who has his signature model, is the athlete most closely associated with the Pro Staff. Now retired, has a strong bond with the frame and company.

The Wilson Pro Staff RF 97 Autograph by Roger Federer costs about $344. In order to change the bending profile, Federer had the racquet's head size increased to 97 square inches, and the beam thickened.

The proportion between the top and bottom halves of the racquet shifted closer to 50-50. The intention was to combine the more contemporary model's forgiveness and playability with the older models' bending.

This is made possible by a technique known as paradigm bending. Wilson modified the frame's layup to mimic the conventional profile of more bending in the racquet's bottom half. During internal playtests, the updated response received unanimous praise, especially from veteran Pro Staff players.

Everyone is welcome to try to play like Roger Federer. Because, despite the fact that most professionals use tuned rackets, you can purchase a Federer racket that looks very similar to the original.

Roger Federer was a generational talent who would be a great player no matter what type of racket he used. He is regarded as "the greatest and most successful" Swiss athlete in history.
