Zebre vs. Sharks Betting Preview

Where: Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi, Parma

When: Friday, November 10 - 6:30 pm local time

Odds: Zebre (+7.5) vs. Sharks (-7.5); total: 57.5 - view all URC lines

Betting on Zebre (+7.5)

Zebre's losing streak continued last Saturday against the Vodacom Bulls, with the Italian side absorbing a 54-29 defeat.

Il XV del Nord-Ovest put up a strong fight in the first half, trailing by just six points, 21-15, at the break.

Geronimo Prisciantelli's 10 points and an Iacopo Bianchi try kept the hosts within touching distance after the first 40 minutes of play, per SARugbyMag.

Unfortunately for the Parma-based club, they ran out of steam in the second half. The Bulls outscored them 33-14 in the second half, with the South African club registering five tries during that period.

Zebre are currently in 13th place in the URC table with five points through their first three games. For them to snap their losing skid against the Sharks, they will need to continue their superb play on the attacking end.

They have scored 15 tries through their first three matches, second-most in the URC this season. Four of those came in the loss to the Bulls.

Offence isn't to blame for Zebre's 0-3 start as they have scored 96 points during that stretch.

Betting on the Sharks (-7.5)

Things are going from bad to worse for the Sharks. They have opened the 2023-24 URC season with three consecutive defeats, with their latest loss coming against Ospreys last Saturday.

The Durbanites opened the scoring in that contest via a try from Phepsi Buthelezi, per Yahoo Sports. Unfortunately for the South African side, those were the only points they could muster as Ospreys finished the match on a 19-0 run.

What made the result so disappointing for the Sharks was that they lost to an Ospreys side that was missing several key players due to the Wales vs. Barbarians clash.

For the KZN side to grab the all-important win against Zebre, they will need to improve on their attack. They have scored just 39 points through their first three matches.

They enjoyed the lion's share of territory and possession in the second half of their match against Ospreys but were unable to put points on the board.
