2023/24 United Rugby Championship Odds Update

Leinster (1.57)

Bookmakers have installed Leinster as favourites to win the United Rugby Championship this 2023-24 season, and rightfully so.

They boast a strong lineup this season, with 10 team members starting for Ireland in their heartbreaking loss to New Zealand in the 2023 Rugby World Cup quarter-finals.

Among the Leinster stars who played for Ireland in that contest are Johnny Sexton, Hugo Keenan, Garry Ringrose, James Lowe, Jamison Gibson-Park, Andrew Porter, Dan Sheehan, Tadhg Furlong, Josh van der Flier, Caelan Doris, Ronan Kelleher, Joe McCarthy, Jack Conan, and Jimmy O’Brien.

Leinster topped the United Rugby Championship table last season with 79 points but lost in the semi-final to Munster 16-15.

Munster (6.10)

Munster have been installed as second-favourites by bookmakers to win the 2023-24 United Rugby Championship.

They finished fifth in the regular season with 55 points last campaign, but they made a dream run in the playoffs to win the United Rugby Championship title.

They edged past Glasgow Warriors 14-5 in the quarter-finals and recorded an upset victory over Leinster in the semis to set up a final showdown with Stormers at DHL Stadium.

Munster took home the trophy in the grand final thanks to tries by Barron, Nash, and Hodnett.

Peter O’Mahony and Tadhg Beirne started for Ireland in their match against New Zealand and they are expected to lead Munster in their title defence this season.

O’Mahony became the latest centurion for Ireland, achieving the feat in the pool match against Scotland.

Stormers (6.75)

Bookmakers have placed Stormers as third favourites to win the United Rugby Championship this campaign.

They won the South African Shield last campaign and finished third in the regular season with 68 points.

However, they fell short in their bid to win the trophy, losing a second consecutive final at home to eventual champions, Munster.

Six new players have joined the Stormers’ squad this past off-season to bolster their ranks.

Fullback, Warrick Gelant makes his return to the lineup after playing a season in France. The South African club also added props Sti Sithole and Lizo Gqoboka, wings Courtnall Skosan and Ben Loader, and utility forward Hendre Stassen to their lineup.

Frans Malherbe, Manie Libbok, and Damian Willemse started for the Springboks in the win against France, and they are expected to lead the Stormers in their title charge this season.
