Betting on Japan (+13.5)

Japan kept their Rugby World Cup dream alive with an edgy 28-22 win over Samoa.

The Brave Blossoms lost their previous match to England and their hopes of advancing to the Rugby World Cup knockout stages were on a knife edge as they faced off against the Pacific Islanders.

Pieter Labuschagne, Michael Leitch, and Kazuki Himeno made sure Japan would live to fight another day, each scoring a try in the win against Samoa, per the BBC.

Rikiya Matsuda also starred for the Asian powerhouse, kicking three penalties and two conversions against the Samoans.

Next up for Japan is a winner-takes-all clash with Argentina. The Brave Blossoms have won just once in their past six meetings with the Pumas.

Betting on Argentina (-13.5)

Argentina will head to their clash against Japan with momentum on their side after they trounced Chile 59-5 in their last pool match.

Los Pumas have bounced back strongly after their opening loss to England, winning their last two matches against Samoa and Chile by an average of 31.5 points.

Argentina wreaked havoc against the Chilean defence, scoring eight tries in the rout. One of those was scored by Nicolas Sanchez, who played in his 100th game for the Pumas, per The Guardian.

Argentina drew level with Japan after earning a bonus point against Chile. The Pumas are currently in second place thanks to their superior points difference.
