Betting on Scotland (-56.5)

Scotland bounced back from their opening Pool B loss to South Africa with an emphatic 45-17 win over Tonga last Sunday.

Seven different players scored tries for the Dark Blues, who kept their quarter-final hopes alive with the easy victory, per Sky Sports.

Scotland earned the much-needed bonus point before the halftime interval, with Kyle Steyn, Rory Darge, George Turner, and Duhan van der Merwe scoring the required tries.

They benefited from Tonga's ill-discipline, with Afusipa Taumoepeau and Vaea Fifita both sent to the sin bin after receiving yellow cards. Fifita's card was upgraded to red after the final whistle.

Scotland will look to sustain the momentum of that huge win when they face Romania this coming weekend.

The Scots have won 11 of their last 13 Test matches against the Oaks, including each of their three previous meetings at the World Cup.

Betting on Romania (+56.5)

Things are going from bad to worse for Romania in the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

The Oaks suffered another heavy defeat last September 17 in Pool B, losing 76-0 to South Africa.

Romania had no answer for Cobus Reinach and Makazole Mapimpi, who both scored hat-tricks for the Springboks in the rout, per the BBC.

They have now lost by an average of 75 points in their first two group games.

Romania have allowed 158 points and 23 tries in the losses to powerhouse teams Ireland and South Africa.

They have struggled to put points on the board as well, scoring just eight points and recording one try in those two matches.

Given their recent struggles, it is no surprise then that the minnows have been installed as 56.5-point underdogs in the game against Scotland.

South Africa vs. Tonga Betting Preview

The Springboks had their eight-match winning streak at the World Cup snapped on Saturday with a 13-8 loss to Ireland, per Sports Brief.

South Africa's kick squad failed to deliver in the top-of-the-table clash, with flyhalf Manie Libbok and scrumhalf Faf de Klerk missing a combined three penalties and one conversion.

Next up for the Boks is a clash with Tonga. South Africa have been installed as a 39.5-point favourite.
