Nigeria won one over Ghana again at the ongoing African Games in Accra, as Olubisi Oyewusi won the gold medal in the women's +80kg right-hand category.

The arm wrestling took centre stage on Friday, March 15, with Nigeria finishing with 13 medals in total.

Of the 13 medals Nigeria won at the arm wrestling event, four were gold, two silver, and seven bronze.

Ghana was also successful in the event as they clinched 41 medals, winning eight gold, 19 silver, and 13 bronze, according to a report by GBC Ghana Online.

In a viral video on social media, the Nigerian arm wrestler got a quick victory over the Ghanaian to claim the gold medal.

Olubisi's victory over her Ghanaian opponent stirred different reactions from fans on X (formerly known as Twitter) and Instagram.

Sports Brief earlier reported on Ghanaian MMA fighter, Abubakari Winnie, being trolled after losing to Nigeria's Joy Obanla in the women's 65kg MMA event final at the African Games.

Obanla clinched the gold medal after showing her Ghanaian counterpart no mercy in the final.
