The NFL is one of the most competitive leagues in the world. All 32 teams with the best players in the world battle for the title, for a whole 18-week period, only for a single winner to emerge with the Vince Lombardi trophy. However, there are teams that have proven to be victors, clinching multiple titles and creating rivalries that have lasted for ages. So, which is the NFL team with the most wins?
While it is a great milestone to be on the list of the teams with the most wins, this is not enough to prove that a team is successful. Some perform incredibly in the regular season but unfortunately end up with the worst playoff record. However, we cannot brush away their amazing regular season run, some going undefeated throughout the whole campaign. Here are the NFL teams with the most wins in history.
NFL team with the most wins all time
The list is ranked according to the win-loss record of each team. The counts are kept officially by the NFL.
10. San Francisco 49ers (607-510)
The San Francisco 49ers have a win-loss record of 607-510. Since their debut in the league in 1946, they have won a total of 5 championships. For their Super Bowl appearances, the team have appeared 7 times and won five of them, the latest coming in their 1994 season in a 49-26 win against the Los Angeles Chargers. The 49ers have also won seven National Football Conference championships.
9. Pittsburgh Steelers (657-570)
Pittsburgh Steelers have won 657, lost 570 and tied 22 of the total games they have played. The team has been in the NFL since 1933 and is one of the best franchises. This comes especially since 1970 when they have had the best record in football. They have won the most total games and divisional titles, earned the best winning percentage, which includes every expansion team, earned the most All-Pro nominations and have the most Super Bowl titles (six).
8. Kansas City Chiefs (516-433)
The Kansas City Chiefs have been in the NFL for 63 seasons and have impressive stats to boast as one of the best in the league. They have a great win record and have won two of their four Super Bowl appearances. Their best regular season performance remains in 2020 when they had a 14-2 record which was the best in the AFC West Division. At this time, they reached the Super Bowl, where they, unfortunately, lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
7. Minnesota Vikings (513-423)
Minnesota Vikings have a 513-423 all-time record in the NFL. They had their best regular season performance in 1998 when they achieved a 15-1 run. However, kicker Gary Anderson who had an incredible 100% field goal percentage throughout the season missed a game-winning chance at the end of the game that would take them to the Super Bowl. This would have given them a perfect 16-0 record. The Vikings are the only team to have a 15-1 run not to reach the Super Bowl.
6. Miami Dolphins (484-389)
The Miami Dolphins have a 484-389 record in their 57 seasons in the NFL. They are one of the most successful teams in the league, with impressive numbers in their record books. They also led the league in both points scored and the fewest points allowed.

The Baltimore Ravens had a bad start in the early stages of their NFL seasons. However, they got better and have been one of the best franchises from 2002 to 2022. Also, they have won two Super Bowl titles, two AFC Championships and six AFC North Division titles.
4. Chicago Bears (786-620)
The Chicago Bears are one of the most successful franchises, with their 1985 squad challenging the undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins for the unofficial title as the greatest NFL team of all time. With their 786-620 record, they have recorded the second-most victories in the NFL, just behind the Green Bay Packers.
They are also the only charter members of the NFL still in existence, have played the most games (1,435) and recorded both the most wins (786) and ties (42) in NFL regular season history.

Also, they have 33 post-season appearances, the most in the NFL, and have the longest consecutive streak of winning seasons with twenty that happened between 1966 and 1985.
