Winning the NBA scoring title award is a dream of many basketball players. Some of the best shooters have won nearly everything, but the scoring title has eluded them. So, who has the most NBA scoring titles?

Who won the most NBA scoring titles?

Michael Jordan has the most NBA scoring titles of all time. He won the award ten times, followed by Wilt Chamberlain (7). Kevin Durant, George Gervin, and Allen Iverson have won it four times.

Former Philadelphia Warriors star, Joe Fulks, won the first NBA scoring title in the inaugural season (1946-47). He finished the league with an average of 23.2 points and 1,389 total points from 60 games.

LeBron James' NBA scoring titles

LeBron is considered one of the greatest basketball players. He broke NBA's scoring record set by Abdul-Jabbar when he scored 38,388 points in February 2023. However, he only has one scoring title he won in 2008, with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Stephen Curry has won the award twice in his career with the Golden State Warriors. He scored an average of 30.1 points and 2,375 total points in 79 matches in the 2015-16 season to win his first award. His second came in the 2020-21 season, scoring an average of 32.0 points and 2,015 points in 63 games.

Kobe's NBA scoring titles

Kobe Bryant has two NBA scoring titles. He won in 2006 and 2007 while playing for the LA Lakers. In 2006, he scored an average of 31.6 points and 2,430 in 77 matches. His numbers increased the following season, recording 35.4 points average and 2,832 total in 80 games.

The NBA scoring title remains one of the most lucrative awards in an NBA season. However, some legendary scorers in the league, like Larry Bird, Elgin Baylor, and Karl Malone, finished their careers without winning it. The hot debate is whether someone will break Michael Jordan's record of ten wins.
