Golden State Warriors star, Draymond Green returned Atletico Madrid forward, Antoine Griezmann, a favour by wearing the Frenchman's jersey before the NBA Western Conference Semi-final against L.A Lakers.

Green helped the NBA champions level the Series on Thursday after the Golden State Warriors cruised to victory in Game 2 at the Chase Center.

Klay Thompson and Steph Curry combined to score 50 points while Green added 11 as the Warriors dominated the Lakers.

In photos shared on social media, Green is seen wearing Griezmann's jersey hours after Atletico Madrid had shared a video of the striker in Green's jersey before a La Liga game.

In the video, Griezmann is seen backing the Warriors to make a comeback in Game 2.

The 2018 World Cup winner is a huge fan of basketball and a known supporter of the Brooklyn Nets, who were eliminated from the first round by the Philadelphia 76ers.

Golden State Warriors remain one of the favourities to win the NBA this season despite a torrid regular season.

Kounde reacts to Curry's performance

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Barcelona defender Jules Kounde has been left impressed with Golden State Warriors point Guard, Steph Curry, following his Game 7 performance against the Sacramento Kings.

Curry made history last night by becoming the first NBA player to score 50 points in a Game 7 encounter.

Thompson scored 19 of his 30 points in the first half, and Golden State beat Los Angeles 127-100 on Thursday night to even the Western Conference semifinals at one game apiece.
