Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers lived up to the hype.
The Lakers were in cruise control in the fourth quarter, building a 112-98 lead with less than six minutes remaining in the contest.
The Warriors responded like the champions they are, unleashing a 14-0 run to tie the game at 112-112 with 1:38 to go.
The Lakers had the last laugh, though, scoring the game’s final five points to pull off the 117-112 win and grab a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

NBAFans paid tribute to Anthony Davis after the game. He was fantastic in the series opener, registering a monster double-double with 30 points and 23 rebounds.
Davis shot 11 of 19 from the field and had five assists and four blocks, per Yahoo! Sports.
Fans also praised LeBron James for his performance in Game 1. He scored 22 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and dished out four assists in the Lakers’ win.
One of LeBron's big defensive plays came during the fourth quarter when the Warriors were making their late run. He blocked Steph Curry's layup attempt with 4:51 left to preserve the Lakers' eight-point lead at that stage.
Fans lauded James for his defensive gem against his fellow superstar.
Curry wasn't demoralized with that failed offensive possession. The Warriors kept chipping away on the Lakers' lead and finally equalized with Curry's deep 3-pointer late in the fourth quarter.
