He then caught fire in the third quarter, scoring 18 of his 38 points during that period. He shot 7 of 8 from the field, helping Phoenix grab a 92-87 lead entering the fourth quarter, per ESPN.

The Suns took care of business in the final 12 minutes, as they never trailed during that stretch.

Durant paid tribute to Booker after the game, saying:

“He's an all-around player. He can do everything at an elite level on a basketball court.”

Phoenix's starters step up

Durant can do great things on the court as well. He stuffed the stat sheet in Game 2, finishing with 25 points, six rebounds, five assists, two blocks, and one steal.

The Suns used a balanced attack to defeat the Clippers. All five of their starters scored in double figures. Torrey Craig, Chris Paul, and Deandre Ayton dropped 17, 16, and 14 points, respectively.

The win did not come easy for the Suns, who trailed by 13 points midway through the second quarter.

They managed to claw their way back into the game, ending the first half on a 23-10 run.

It was a disappointing defeat for the Clippers, who got strong performances from Kawhi Leonard and Russell Westbrook.

Leonard scored 31 points after exploding for 38 in Game 1. Westbrook dropped 28 points in Game 2.
